Day 78 – Milo cubism

24 Dec

Ok, these aren’t really christmas eve sort of chocolates*, but they’re definitely interesting so they’ll take this spot!

A childhood favourite of a Ghanaian friend, she kindly shared her Nestle’s energy Milo cubes, measuring 0.8cm3 in size! I’m not sure how many you actually have to have to get a quantifiable amount of energy, but it must be quite a few ha

They are super compact and tight and you have to suck on them for a while or bite into them pretty hard. They make me think of mini oxo cubes, but you definitely don’t want to be sucking on one of them blergh. Tasty little things, it’s more the novelty of the size that gets you as they are quite fiddly and when you want to have some ‘energy’ you’ll need to get it a lot faster than popping a few of these!

Rating: 4/5 the fun factor puts it up there

*Apologies, they actually don’t have chocolate in them:( but they’re too cute not to post.

Thanks for your posting! Would you by any chance know where I can buy these?

Hi there, these were from Ghana. I’m not sure where else you can get them, as I hadn’t seen them before.

FYI These are made of real cocoa. It’s real chocolate minus excessive sugar. One cube has 11 calories.

Just had one from a friend of my son. She brought them home from Ghana.
