A classic 1939 ad by Whitman’s Chocolate a Women never Forgets – Thoughtfulness Wins a Women.
Fact. And fact.
I came across something today and it tickled my fancy so looked it up – Chocolate Research Facility.
…a name that would make you take us seriously… work our taste buds like never before… happy foods make happy people…making the impossible seem possible…
A brilliant little site that really draws chocolate lovers into their deepest desires. I want to go there. Now. If you stay on the homepage, chocolate oozes down your screen.. you almost want to lick it!
With attractive packaging and flavours such as ‘mumbai: cumin seeds in dark chocolate’, ‘french vanilla meringue’ and ‘blueberry muffin’ their series of chocolates are creative and fun. Aren’t you intrigued to try some? Fancy a trip to Singapore? Call me.
Smart Car dressed as chocolate for valentines… seriously?!!
A ridiculous car for a yet another over commercialised day.
Well this La Rose Noire brownie says it all – Gluten Free! Ironically, under the list of allergens on the label it says ‘gluten’ – who do we believe?!!
The brownie smelt rich and chocolatey through the packaging and we weren’t disappointed when opening it. On first bite, we were delighted to enjoy an incredibly good brownie not even just compared to gluten free ones! A crisp layer topped the soft moist brownie that was indeed rich in chocolate flavour. Nearing the end of the slice there was a lingering of a slight different flavour (being the different flours used) but it wasn’t distracting and it was still a satisfying chocolate fix.
Just worry about the false labelling, so remember to check the details carefully especially if you have serious allergic reactions.

At least it gets you talking about Cadbury’s!
This chocolate was available all over India, it didn’t really appeal to me nor did I have the desire to buy it for some reason! oh well will get ahold of it sometime, in the meantime here’s a random ad for it
Sadly there was no chocolate consumption today, a lot of coffee, but no chocolate surprisingly. Well there’s still time 19mins of the day to go… so who knows.
In the meantime, let’s venture down to Dunedin City, a wonderful place modelled on Old Edinburgh and more importantly New Zealand’s home to the Cadbury factory. Every year they hold a chocolate carnival which includes a jaffa race (orange dark chocolate balls covered in bright red sugar shell – of course these are amazing!) down the world’s steepest street, Baldwin St. Check out the race!
yum yum yum:)
